Register to Vote at the Trenton Public Library

Voting is not just a privilege of citizenship in the United States, it is our moral obligation. When we show up to the ballot box, we play a fundamental role in shaping the governance of our city, state, and nation. From the local school board to the presidency, those we elect to office have a tremendous ability to influence the course of our lives. By registering to vote and walking into Election Day with a plan, you are doing your part in paving the path for your community’s future. And now, thanks to some help from the team at Mercer County Office of The Superintendent of Elections, it’s easier than ever to make sure your voice is heard.

On Monday, February 26th, you are invited to the Trenton Free Public Library in order to register to vote, provided by the Mercer County Office of The Superintendent of Elections. From 9:30am through 11:30am, guests are welcome to swing by to check on their registration and have any questions answered that they may have. This event will be taking place at Trenton Free Public Library’s campus, located at 120 Academy St, Trenton, NJ 08608. At the event, representatives will be on site to assist with:

  • Registering to vote
  • Offering election information
  • Offering voter registration
  • Answering any questions that you may have!

With a major Presidential election coming up in just a few short months, it is more important than ever to make sure that when November rolls around, you’re ready to go!

You may be asking yourself, while voting is good for the community, what’s in it for me? As it turns out, a lot! Of course, the best benefit of voting is the ability to have a direct influence on the elected officials of your area. Beyond this, however, voting can be an enriching civic experience which can benefit your life in a number of ways. Firstly, by voting, you have the opportunity to engage with your local community and get a better feel for the issues most pressing to your neighbors and friends. Voting and civic engagement can also introduce you to a number of like-minded individuals, helping to strengthen relationships throughout the community. Finally, voters can take a sense of satisfaction and pride, knowing that with just a few minutes of their time, they’ve played a part in the future of the place they call home.
