Trenton Featured in Smithsonian Associates’ “Revolutionary Road Trip”
This evening, January 18th, Trenton will be featured in the Smithsonian Associates’ “Revolutionary Road Trip”, an informative program taking you through some of the nation’s most fascinating Revolutionary sites. From Charleston, South Carolina, to right here in New Jersey’s Capital City, viewers will have the chance to hit the road and learn more about the Revolutionary War’s most critical sites. PBS television host Darley Newman and a panel of four travel and history experts will guide you through historic sites, battlefields, and delightful destinations for food and drinks as they share hidden gems and seldom-told stories about the American Revolution. This panel features a fascinating group of experts, include:

- David Duncan, President of the American Battlefield Trust
- Rita D. McClenny, President and Chief Executive Officer of the Virginia Tourism Corporation
- Lauren Roberts, Saratoga County Historian
This dynamic evening of education and fun allows viewers to delve into the American Revolution like never before, uncovering the sites and secrets of the nation’s founding. From Washington-Rochambeau National Historic Trail in Virginia to destinations all over New Jersey, this program will leave you inspired to plan a revolutionary road trip of your own. Trenton will be featured for its significance in the “Ten Crucial Days”, which included the Battle of Trenton and the Battle of Princeton. It is at this time that the tides of the Revolution turned, leading our American troops to their eventual victory.
