There is nothing quite like enjoying a live game of basketball. The excitement as the players race up and down the court is a rush unlike any other. College basketball is officially back and the season is already heating up. Now, the action is coming to the Capital City in a showdown of two of New Jersey’s fiercest teams.

On Monday, November 6th, you and your family are invited to enjoy a classic college basketball showdown. The Princeton University Tigers will be facing Rutgers’ Scarlet Knights at the CURE Insurance Arena, located at 81 Hamilton Ave, Trenton, NJ 08611. Festivities will kick off at 7pm. Princeton University versus Rutgers University is a Garden State rivalry which has raged on for decades. As a matter of fact, these two teams faced off in the first-ever game of college football! Whether your team is the Tigers or you’re standing with the Scarlet Knights, watching these two powerhouse universities go head to head is one of Jersey’s most anticipated matchups. But whether you’re a Princeton or a Rutgers fan, everyone can recognize that when it comes to college sports, New Jersey is the place to be.

The basketball teams of Rutgers University and Princeton University first met back in 1917, playing uninterrupted until almost 100 years later in 2013. During this period, the two teams met a whopping 120 times, with the series standing at 75-45 in Princeton’s favor. Famously, Rutgers faced Princeton in the first round of the 1976 NCAA Tournament, where they narrowly escaped an upset beating the Tigers 54-53. With both teams now coming off of one of their strongest runs in recent memory, now is the perfect time to watch these teams go head to head in the facedown of the year.
