Join the Old Barracks for All Barracks Eve

Hear ye, hear ye! If you’re ready to have a blast from the past this Halloween season, the Old Barracks invites you to be a part of a hauntingly fun evening, All Barracks Eve.

On Friday, October 27th, you and your family are invited to the Old Barracks for an evening of old-fashioned Halloween fun. The festivities will kick off at 5 p.m. at the Old Barracks Museum at 101 Barrack St, Trenton, NJ 08608. Admission costs $5 per guest, while children under five can attend for free. Tickets will be available for purchase on-site on the day of the event. All funds raised from this fun evening will continue to support and enrich the year-round educational offerings provided by the Old Barracks.

This spooky seasonal fun has all the makings of an unforgettable evening. Once you’ve settled in with some cider and donuts, beginning at 6 p.m., guests can gather around the campfire and listen to some chilling tales told by historically outfitted storytellers. In addition to some stories around the fire, guests can look forward to living history demonstrations, children’s activities, and charming family fun for every squad member. With all this and more planned for the evening, there’s no doubt you and your family will have a ghostly good time.

The Old Barracks is Trenton’s premier living history museum, inviting guests to step back and see what life was like in Trenton during the Revolutionary War and beyond—stroll by the Old Barracks on any given day. You’ll likely see educators dressed in historic garb walking alongside guests and offering critical insights into what life was like in Colonial Trenton. During the Revolutionary War, the Old Barracks were utilized by British and American soldiers as they fought the battle for the fate of America. Today, although many changes have come to Trenton over the years, the existing portions of the Barracks still stand proudly, thanks to years of thoughtful preservation work. Inviting visitors from all over the country to participate in the fun, the Old Barracks remains a significant destination for any history buff.
