The Old Barracks is Trenton’s premier living history museum, inviting guests to step back and see what life was like in Trenton during the Revolutionary War and beyond—stroll by the Old Barracks on any given day. You’ll likely see educators dressed in historic garb walking alongside guests and offering critical insights into what life was like in Colonial Trenton. During the Revolutionary War, the Old Barracks were utilized by British and American soldiers as they fought the battle for the fate of America. Today, although many changes have come to Trenton over the years, the existing portions of the Barracks still stand proudly, thanks to years of thoughtful preservation work. Inviting visitors from all over the country to participate in the fun, the Old Barracks remains a significant destination for any history buff.
