Apply Now for the Trenton Arts Fund
Attention all artists! If you’re a Trenton-based creative with a vision of a brighter community, stay tuned to discover how the Trenton Arts Fund can lend a helping hand in your artistic journey.
The Trenton Arts Fund, established by the Princeton Area Community Foundation, is committed to Trenton’s arts organizations and artists, both emerging and established. The Trenton Arts Fund also plays an integral role in preserving and uplifting the rich history and culture of the Trenton community. Funds from this grant will support Trenton arts, arts education, culture, and history organizations, with available grants ranging from $1,000 to $5,000. This grant was created in 2018 by Trenton residents and this year’s Caren Franzini Capital City Award recipients, David Henderson and John Hatch, who strongly believe that the arts help make Trenton a great place to live, work, and visit.
In the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic, many organizations have struggled to rebuild and attract audiences, especially younger generations. Projects of particular interest this year will address these issues in innovative and game-changing ways and will support the work or projects of individual, Trenton-based artists. Specifically, the Fund is interested in new programs that support Trenton’s youth. Grants will offset both operating expenses and/or program costs. The Fund believes that arts, arts education, culture, and history are of the utmost importance as our society continues to address the fallout from the pandemic and other economic and cultural changes. Further, the arts will continue to help revitalize the City of Trenton, offering impactful and transformative experiences for the community’s youth and families.
Grant applications are open now through October 25th if you are interested in applying. Grant information and instructions can be found on PACF’s grant portal, linked here: PACF – Grant Application. These one-year grants will cover a number of different initiatives, including:
- Public performances, educational activities, and exhibits.

- Programs that revitalize the City of Trenton through the arts.
- Programs that provide meaningful and transformative experiences for young people and families.
- Programs and projects that aim to attract returning and new, younger audiences.
