Join the Capital Philharmonic for “From Handel to Habanera”
It is no secret that one of life’s simple joys is an evening at the orchestra. As a community bustling with arts and culture, Trenton is lucky to be home to its professional orchestra, the Capital Philharmonic of New Jersey. As the CPNJ prepares to embark on its 2023-2024 season, you are invited to be a part of this year’s first performance.
On Sunday, September 24th, please join the Capital Philharmonic for their inaugural performance of the season, “From Handel to Habanera.” This performance will feature selections spanning genres, from classical to Latin, jazz, and more. The concert will begin at 3 PM at The Mill Hill Playhouse at 205 E Front St, Trenton, NJ 08605. General admission tickets are available at $25 per person. The upcoming performance features a stellar lineup of musicians, including Katherine McClure, Flute; Melissa Bohl, Oboe; Sherry Harman Apgar, Clarinet; Craig Levesque, French Horn; and Zachary Feingold, Bassoon. The woodwind section of the CPNJ will take audiences on a journey through music, featuring selections spanning all genres.
This performance is part of the Capital Philharmonic’s series of chamber concerts. In addition to their main stage calendar, the CPNJ has composed a compelling curation of chamber performances to allow their musicians to perform a wider variety of selections and genres. Beyond the classics, the chamber concerts offer a window to the avant-garde, combining elements of various genres and musical periods in new and innovative ways.
