Voting is not just a right, but an obligation as American citizens. Through the long-fought battles of centuries of decades, all Americans now have the right to come to the ballot box and voice their opinion on who is best suited to represent our communities. Although we may have a long way to go in order to ensure true voting accessibility, the strides that have been made speak to the heart of the ideals this nation was founded upon. With Election Day right around the corner, many of us are beginning the process of determining which candidates we feel best represent our wants and needs for our community. If you’re looking to get inspired this election season, join the Urban League Guild for their engaging presentation, “Ballots and Beyond”.
On Wednesday, September 20th, prospective voters are invited to listen in on an engaging evening of conversation surrounding all things elections. This event is free to attend, although advanced registration is required.
