If you’re looking for the perfect way to kick off another beautiful summer weekend, the Trenton City Museum has all you need for a night to remember in the Capital City.

Freedom Fridays is a monthly celebration hosted by the Trenton City Museum, an arts and culture destination in the Capital City. On the last Friday of each month, guests are invited to enjoy an evening of performance, arts, and community at the Ellarslie Mansion, located at 299 Parkside Ave., Trenton, NJ 08606. During Freedom Fridays, guests from throughout the Trenton community are invited to show off their talents during the evening’s open mic nights. From poets to musicians and all talents in between, all are welcome to be part of the show. The next upcoming installment of Freedom Fridays is scheduled for Friday, June 30th from 7:00pm to 8:30pm. The evening will be hosted by The Son of Black; this month’s featured performer is none other than Philadelphia’s own poet and promoter, J’renee Chance. Admission is only a $5 donation, so come on down and enjoy the work of some of the region’s up and coming talent.

Whether you are a comedian, a singer, or an artist of any kind, open mic nights are a wonderful opportunity to connect with your fellow performers, hone your skills, and show off your talents to a fresh new audience.
