Ellarslie Open 40 is the Trenton City Museum’s annual juried exhibit. This expansive exhibit features the work of dozens of artists, each with a unique style and flair. This year’s show will be juried by Reginald M. Browne, Vice Chair of the Board of Trustees at the Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts and Chairman of the Creative Capital Foundation. Browne is also on the board of Silver Art Projects. This nonprofit organization connects artists with free, year-long studio space and career development opportunities that accelerate and enhance their artistic practice. Mr. Browne holds his Bachelor of Arts from La Salle University, where he is also a member of the Board of Trustees. Browne is best known for his work alongside his wife, Dr. Aliya Browne, who are renowned collectors of contemporary African diasporic portraiture and abstract expressionist art. Browne’s perspective and support of the arts will undoubtedly make him the perfect juror for this year’s exhibit.
