People for Animals to Host Free Pet Vaccine Clinic
For many of us, our best friend has four legs and a bushy tail. When we bring a pet into our homes, they quickly become a family member. Our pets are always there to greet us with a smile and brighten up even the hardest of our days. One of the best ways to return the love for our pets is by ensuring they have all the necessary medical care they need to live happy and healthy lives. However, veterinary care can be expensive, making it difficult to access for many families. Thankfully, People for Animals are here to help with those costs by providing residents of Trenton with free vaccinations and microchips for your pets.
On Saturday, February 25th, People for Animals will host a free vaccine and microchip clinic for Trenton cats and dogs. In addition to free vaccines and microchips, the event will also distribute free pet food and pet supplies. Limited financial assistance will also be available for spay or neuter surgery. The clinic will be held from 11 am to 2 pm at Trinity Cathedral, 801 West State St., Trenton, NJ 08618. This is a rain or shine, first come, first served event.
If you plan on attending, please ensure that your dogs are on leashes and cats are in carriers. If you do not have a leash or a carrier available, please leave your animal in the car, and staff will assist from there. Likewise, if you have a pet who is reactive to other animals, please be sure to leave your pet in the car, and staff assistance will be provided.
Volunteers are needed if you don’t have any pets but still want to be a part of this fantastic event! Event volunteers are requested on the 25th to help set up the event, help attendees with paperwork, conduct surveys with clients (English and Spanish speakers needed!), and more. To participate, all volunteers must be at least 18 years old. If you want to be a part of helping Trenton’s four-legged friends, you can sign up online here: Volunteer – People for Animals.
This event is presented by People for Animals, a militant group of advocates for animal welfare in the Mercer County area. Their mission is “to prevent animal suffering through affordable essential healthcare, public policy advocacy, and community programs.” People for Animals fight for a happy and healthy life for every animal by offering low-cost, high-volume spay and neutering procedures, making pet ownership more affordable, and reducing the number of homeless animals in regional shelters. So far, they’ve provided 19,786 spay/neuter surgeries, microchipped 6,441 animals, and provided 39,585 vaccinations to critters all across the state. In addition, people for Animals are bringing their life-changing services to the Capital City.
Like humans, when our pets are given the healthcare they need, they’re better equipped for a happy and healthy future. If you cannot come to this event, you can check out People for Animal’s other services online here: People for Animals – Home. Any questions before the event may be directed to People for Animals at firstname.lastname@example.org or (609) 208-3252 for additional details. Don’t miss this free opportunity to show your furry friend some love!
