New Jersey State Library to Host “Social Security 101” Webinar

If you’re interested in learning more about Social Security and how these benefits can serve you, the New Jersey State Library has just the opportunity for you.

Planning for retirement can be a difficult and confusing process. So many factors are at play, but one thing that’s for certain is Social Security. On Wednesday, January 25th, the New Jersey State Library will be hosting a webinar explaining the ins and outs of Social Security. The event will take place virtually, and will be held from 12:00-1:30pm. The speaker will be Marcial Hernandez, Jr., a representative of the Social Security Administration. Hernandez is a Public Affairs Specialist whose work with the SSA includes community outreach and engagement throughout the State of New Jersey. Throughout his career, he has worked with a variety of community-based organizations, advocacy groups, and the staff of local, state, and federal agencies in order to promote public awareness regarding Social Security, Supplemental Security Income, the issuance of Social Security Numbers, and how to enroll in traditional Medicare.
