Recovery is Essential to Host 3rd Annual Sober Soiree

Put on your black-tie best and get ready to hit the town!

Recovery is Essential (RIE) recently announced that they will be hosting their 3rd annual Sober Soiree Black Carpet Affair on Saturday, November 5th at the Historic Masonic Temple in Trenton, NJ. The Sober Soiree was designed with individuals in recovery in mind, offering the sober community a safe and supportive evening out. Tickets include food, music, mocktails, and more.

The event will be catered by Elisa’s Catering, a Trenton-based business cooking up fantastic cuisine. Guests will also get to enjoy mocktails from Garden Jewelz. The mocktails feature fresh-pressed juices, with tempting elixirs designed just for the evening’s festivities. After you’ve had a bite to eat, make your way to the dance floor, where the evening’s activities will continue.

The Sober Soiree features live performances from Timbuk2 Academy’s Sew So Dope program and the Dream Makers Dance Studio. Sew so Dope features the work of Timbuk2 Academy students who have taken an interest in fashion. Participating students receive hands-on sewing instructions to turn recycled materials into breath-taking masterpieces that you’ll have a chance to enjoy.

Meanwhile, the Dream Makers Dance Studio will be featuring some of their talented young performers in a dance performance. If after the dance performance you want to bust a few moves of your own, then head to the dance floor where DJ Juice will be spinning tracks all night long.

Finally, what is any black-tie event without a little paparazzi? Guests of the Sober Soiree can also look forward to striking a pose with snapshots from Creative Touch Studio. By the end of the night, the Soiree will have you looking your best and feeling your best, all for a great cause.

Recovery is Essential is a Trenton-based non-profit whose mission is to empower those in recovery to live a sober, guilt-free life. RIE recognizes the struggle that individuals can face when entering recovery, and seek to tackle that stigma to allow people in recovery to live meaningful, fulfilling lives.

Tickets are $75 each and funds from the event will be going towards various community groups and non-profits. Some of the groups this fundraiser has benefited in the past include:

  • I Am Trenton
  • The Ronald McDonald House
  • Sprouts U. Performing Arts School
  • Timbuk2 Academy
