Trenton Thunder Set to Present to the Kiwanis Club of Trenton

The Trenton Thunder is set to begin its 28th season on June 7, 2022 with new challenges and plans for its future as it searches for a new major league baseball affiliation. Thunder Group Sales & Community Relations Director Casey Borish will get us ready to “Play Ball” with a presentation to the Kiwanis Club of Trenton on Wednesday, May 4, 2022 beginning at 12:15 p.m. in Leonardo’s II restaurant, 2021 Brunswick Pike in Lawrenceville.

Thunder baseball has become one of the City’s biggest attractions, revitalizing the Delaware River waterfront by welcoming thousands of fans each season. Recognized as the “Nation’s Best Franchise” by minor league baseball, the Thunder provide a unique fan experience and an economic engine for the City of Trenton. Casey will share how the Thunder plans on maintaining its momentum this season and beyond.

Founded in 1918, the Kiwanis Club’s programs have supported children’s services, community events and since 1955, the Times-Kiwanis Camp Fund, which has raised over $2 million for summer camp experiences for Trenton children. In addition to the ongoing Camp Fund, current Kiwanis initiatives range from the 101st Annual “Great Egg Hunt” in Trenton’s Cadwalader Park to “Vision Trenton,” a collaborative community effort to stimulate economic redevelopment by promoting Trenton’s extensive historic assets.

Casey’s presentation will be accompanied by lunch prepared by Leonardo’s II. Guests can enjoy Leonardo’s signature pasta buffet with a salad and beverage for $15, payable at the door. Please RSVP your attendance to Mike McCormick by May 3, 2022 via email at mccormicknj@aol.com, or phone (609) 208-9991 for more information.
