Flowers for Ukraine: Trenton Kiwanis Supports Designer’s Relief Efforts

Meaghan Crawford O’Gara is a talented floral designer with a mission for our times.  She creates art in flowers which also support relief efforts in Ukraine.  On Wednesday, April 6, 2022, the Kiwanis Club of Trenton will welcome Meaghan to talk about her work and its impact.  Her presentation begins at 12:15 p.m. at Leonardo’s II restaurant, located at 2021 Brunswick Pike (Business Rt. 1) in Lawrenceville.
As days and weeks of war in Ukraine now stretch into months, many have asked what they can do to help the millions displaced and suffering.  Meeting the needs of these refugees is a monumental task. Meaghan’s initiative harnesses her talents to do her part – an example we should all take to heart. A portion of the proceeds from sales at her newly-launched business, “Crawford Creek Flowers” is donated to the Ukrainian Federation of America and its humanitarian relief efforts.
Founded in 1918, the Kiwanis Club’s programs have supported children’s services, community events and since 1955, the Times-Kiwanis Camp Fund, which has raised over $2 million for summer camp experiences for Trenton children.  In addition to the ongoing Camp Fund, current Kiwanis initiatives range from the 101st Annual “Great Egg Hunt” in Trenton’s Cadwalader Park on April 16, 2022 to “Vision Trenton,” a collaborative community effort to stimulate economic redevelopment by promoting Trenton’s extensive historic assets.
Meaghan’s presentation will be accompanied by lunch prepared by Leonardo’s II. Guests can enjoy Leonardo’s signature pasta buffet with a salad and  beverage for $15, payable at the door.  Please RSVP your attendance to Mike McCormick by April 5, 2022 via email at mccormicknj@aol.com, or phone (609) 208-9991 for more information.
