Building a Bridge of Hope

The Children’s Home Society of New Jersey (CHSofNJ), headquartered at 635 South Clinton in Trenton, announced that it will hold a virtual gala fundraising event on Saturday, May 15, 2021 as it continues to monitor the evolving situation of the COVID-19 pandemic. The online event will start at 7:00 p.m. at https://chsofnj.ejoinme.org/gala2021.

All are welcome. There is no admission charge; however, contributions of any amount will be accepted at www.chsofnj.org/gala-2021.

The gala co-chairs are James T. Shea, also chair of the board, and Sheri Levine-Shea. The first 50 people to make a contribution of $75 or more will receive a festive Gala in a Box, delivered to their doorstep and filled with a collection of deluxe items such as bubbly wine, chocolates from Thomas Sweet, a recipe card with a YouTube video showing how to make a classic cocktail and a gourmet dinner recipe and video of Chef Jose Cintron from Occasions demonstrating how to make the special dinner.

The 7:00 p.m. gala presentation will include the premiere of a new video production focusing on the organizations participating infants, children and parents who have received services of The Children’s Home Society of New Jersey and the presentation of awards to the two corporate honorees, Bloomberg and Bristol Myers Squibb, for the meaningful participation of their employee volunteers and for their generous financial support.

In addition, there will be an online silent auction and an announcement of the winner of a 50/50 raffle. Auction items may be viewed at https://chsofnj2021.ggo.bid. The winner will receive half the money from the sale of the raffle tickets, which are $10 each. CHSofNJ will call the winner at 9:30 p.m. May 15 after the drawing. For more information on raffle tickets, please email Jocelyn Rock, jrock@chsofnj.org. For information about sponsorship opportunities, advertisements in the virtual program book and donation of silent auction items, please contact Pamela Cipriano at pcipriano@chsofnj.org or 732-606-5601.

Proceeds from the 127th Anniversary Gala will help support the critical, direct services and programs of The Children’s Home Society of New Jersey, which last year touched the lives of more than 100,500 at-risk children and families.
