Greater Trenton expanded the former Urban Blight Reduction Pilot program, initially established to demolish more than 500 blighted and abandoned structures throughout the city, far beyond the removal of abandoned structures throughout the city to a new program called the Neighborhood Redevelopment and Revitalization Pilot Program (“NRRP”), which addresses property acquisition, support for property stabilization costs, and the provision of engineering services to ensure program effectiveness and to ultimately help enhance residential development across the city.
