Royal Cake Creations Adds a Sweet Twist on North Willow Street
Just yesterday, I caught a glimpse of Royal Cake Creations, a cupcake shop and bakery that recently landed at 9 North Willow Street in Trenton, NJ. Tiajuana Reyes, who owns the shop, combines a talent for sweets, design, and dance.
“One day I made a cake for my step daughter and, when I posted it ON SOCIAL MEDIA, people asked me to make their cakes too,” said Tiajuana. “From then on I started making custom cakes.”
Beyond sweets, Tiajuana, who served as backup dancer for various music artists, founded Modern Demand Dance Company (MDDC) in 2015 as an alternative to more expensive art education programs in the Trenton Area. MDDC’s primary goal is the enrichment of inner city youth through dance education and physical activity.
“We are committed to keeping children from engaging in negative activities by keeping them involved activities that are positive and provide learning experiences,” said Tiajuana. “We’re dedicated to providing quality training, in Jazz, Tap, Ballet, African, Modern, Latin, Acrobatics and Hip Hop at minimal cost to families that may be lower income.”
