Local Officials Team Up to Organize a Back to School Bash at Arm and Hammer Park on Saturday
Mercer County Prosecutor Angelo Onofri has teamed up with Mayor W. Reed Gusciora, Trenton Police Director Sheilah A. Coley, State Senator Shirley Turner, Mercer County Sheriff Jack Kemler, Capital Health, the Capital City Community Coalition and the Trenton Thunder to give away hundreds of filled backpacks, re-usable cloth facemasks and notebooks on Saturday, August 29, 2020 in the outfield parking lot at Arm and Hammer Park along Trenton’s waterfront.
“We want our students to have the best supplies to succeed during this challenging school year,” said Mayor Gusciora. “We are grateful to Mercer County Prosecutor Angelo Onofri for organizing this generous back-to-school opportunity.”
The drive-up Back to School Bash will be held on Saturday, August 29, from 9:00 a.m. to 12 p.m. in the outfield parking lot of Arm and Hammer Park at the waterfront end of Cass Street. The rain date is Sunday, August 30, 2020. Contactless drive-ups will be in place to safely distribute the backpacks and other supplies.
