On August 5, 2025, the City of Trenton celebrated National Night Out, marking an incredible evening of community togetherness. Held at Cadwalader Park, this year’s event drew the largest number of residents ever recorded for the annual celebration.

While the main celebration took place at Cadwalader Park, the entire city came alive, as neighborhoods in every ward hosted their own National Night Out block parties, continuing a local tradition that has spanned over 40 years. This tradition brings neighbors together with food, music, games, and a shared focus on building stronger, safer communities.

Before arriving at Cadwalader Park, Mayor W. Reed Gusciora, City Directors, and City Council members traveled across town, stopping by neighborhood events to greet residents and enjoy the festivities.

National Night Out at Cadwalader Park featured over 50 organizations tabling to provide resources, giveaways, and interactive experiences for residents.

“This was our biggest and most vibrant National Night Out yet,” said Mayor Gusciora. “While budget constraints required us to consolidate from multiple neighborhood sites to one central celebration in Cadwalader Park, the result was a festive and unifying event that brought together hundreds of residents from across the city. With live music, family-friendly activities, and over 50 participating organizations, we saw the true spirit of Trenton on display. I want to thank the dedicated city staff, volunteers, and community partners who made this event such a success. This is what happens when we come together to build a stronger, safer city.”

At Cadwalader Park, the main event attractions featured a variety of activities for all ages. Highlights included:

• Mechanical Bull Riding
• Rock Wall
• Dixie Twister
• Virtual Reality Games
• Bubble Soccer–Super–Sized Arena
• Photo Booth
• Caricature Artist
• Bounce Houses
• Concessions

Residents had the opportunity to meet face-to-face with officials, police officers, firefighters, city staff, and dozens of service providers.

National Night Out once again brought the community together in a spirit of unity, reinforcing the City of Trenton’s commitment to building a safer and stronger city for everyone.
