Princeton Area Community Foundation to Receive Younity Award for Outstanding Community Partner

Younity (formerly Womanspace) is proud to announce that the Princeton Area Community Foundation will be honored with The Younity Award for Outstanding Community Partner at the 29th Annual Awards Dinner on May 15, 2025.

The Younity Award for Outstanding Community Partner recognizes a nonprofit or business that has demonstrated sustained, meaningful support of Younity’s mission to serve victim-survivors of domestic and sexual violence. Princeton Area Community Foundation has provided not only general operating support but has also helped fund some of Younity’s most pivotal projects and initiatives. These include the organization’s first centralized client and program database, expanded outreach and engagement efforts in Trenton, and Younity’s 2024 organizational rebrand.

As a philanthropic nexus of central New Jersey, Princeton Area Community Foundation is committed to helping communities—especially children—thrive. Through donor-advised funds, collaborative grantmaking, and strategic investments, the foundation promotes philanthropy, fosters meaningful partnerships, and works toward a vibrant, equitable future for all residents. Their sustained support of Younity reflects a shared belief in the power of safe, connected, and thriving communities.

“We are thrilled to be honored by Younity, which has been providing critical supportive services and protecting families in our region for almost 50 years,” said Mathieu Nelessen, President & CEO of the Princeton Area Community Foundation. “In recent years, Younity has been a recipient of grants from our donor advised fund holders, as well as from our Community Impact Grants Fund, the Fund for Women and Girls, the NextGen Giving Circle, and the Bunbury Fund, including a Bunbury Fund transformational sunset grant, and we could not be more honored to receive this recognition.”

The 29th Annual Awards Dinner will take place at The Boathouse at Mercer Lake in West Windsor. Proceeds from the event support Younity’s full range of services for individuals and families affected by domestic and sexual violence, including crisis intervention, shelter, legal advocacy, prevention education, and counseling.

Tickets, sponsorship opportunities, and program ad placements for Younity’s 29th Annual Awards Dinner are now available at https://younitynj.org/event/annual-awards-dinner. The digital program will include congratulatory messages recognizing the Princeton Area Community Foundation and this year’s honorees. Messages may highlight their impact, offer thanks, or reflect organizational support.
