Connect and Commune at the 2024 Inter-Faith Peace Vigil

On Tuesday, December 31st, you and your family are invited to the Capital City for a stirring New Years Eve Peace Vigil. The event, hosted by the Trenton Meeting of Friends, will begin at 4pm at the Trenton Friends Meeting House, located at 142 E Hanover St, Trenton, NJ 08608. Inspired by the Quaker tradition of silent introspection, following a brief period of reflection, inter-faith leaders will be invited to the podium to discuss what “peace on earth” means to them. This heartfelt evening of discussion and reflection offers guests a wonderful opportunity to look within, convene with a diverse community, and connect on the common ground which brings us together.

Following the remarks, attendees will once again be invited to meditate in silence, giving those who feel so moved the opportunity to share from their personal and faith tradition. Later on, guests will be led to raise their voices in song with a well-known catalog of tunes centered on the topics of the evening. At the conclusion of the night, guests are invited to stay for fellowship and enjoy a light supper, which will be provided. As we work together to bring peace and prosperity to the Capital City, events like these remind us that while this the fight for peace is a mighty undertaken, it is never taken on alone.
