Think Pink at Trenton’s Pink Out and Breast Cancer Awareness Ceremony

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, inspiring communities from across the country to stand together in the fight against this destructive disease. According to the National Breast Cancer Foundation, in 2024 alone, more than 360,000 people will be diagnosed with breast cancer worldwide. But there is hope to be had for those enduring this fight. As research, awareness, and early detection methods continue to improve, we inch closer to a cure with each passing year. But until the time has come where all are able to overcome breast cancer, we must continue to stand with the brave individuals who battle this disease. In honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, the City of Trenton invites you to be a part of this year’s Pink Out and Breast Cancer Awareness Ceremony.

On Saturday, October 5th, the City of Trenton will be hosting the city’s 2024 Pink Out. This jam-packed day of support, community, and health education offers families in the Capital City a hand-on way to get involved this Breast Cancer Awareness Month. The day’s activities will begin with a walk through Downtown Trenton, lighting up our streets with a sea of pink. The walk will begin at the New Jersey State House (125 W State St, Trenton, NJ 08608), and concluded at Trenton City Hall, located at 319 E State St, Trenton, NJ 08608. The Pink Out walk is a wonderful way to get in some movement, connect with fellow members of your community, and demonstrate that our city will continue to stand hand in hand with those battling against breast cancer.

Upon completion of the walk, attendees will be greeted with a guest speaker on the steps of City Hall. Following these inspiring remarks, families are welcome to stick around to enjoy fun and fellowship, as well as explore the offerings of the many health vendors who will be in attendance. By the conclusion of the day’s events, guests should walk away feeling empowered, knowledgable about preventive health measures, and ready to do their part in the battle against breast cancer. Change and hope begin at home, and this year’s Pink Out is a heartwarming display of the commitment the City of Trenton holds to helping every resident of the Capital City remain happy, healthy, and thriving.
