Set Sail With the Trenton Canoe Club
When it comes to spending a day in the great outdoors, there’s few activities more exhilarating than hitting the open water for a day of paddling and pleasure. Beyond just a fun leisure activity to pass the time, sports like canoeing, kayaking, and other water activities offer participants a full-body, heart-healthy way to break up your normal exercise routine. Here in Trenton, we’re lucky to have access to a number of scenic and serene waterways, making our city the perfect setting to set sail. And if you’re ready to rock-and-row this autumn, there’s no better place to get started than the Trenton Canoe Club.
Now through the month of October, voyagers of all ages are welcome to come out to Cadwalader Park for the Trenton Canoe Club. Canoes, kayaks, and other vessels are available to guests weekdays from 1pm to 6pm, as well as on weekends from 8am to 4pm. Boats will launch right behind the playground area at the base of the steps
under the bridge that goes over the Delaware & Raritan Canal in Cadwalader Park. The park is located in West Trenton at 36 Parkside, Trenton, NJ 08618. If you plan on driving, there is plenty of free parking within the park for visitors. Please note that canoeing will not be permitted during heavy rain, lightening and thundering, and other inclement weather.
This program is provided by the City of Trenton’s Department of Recreation, Natural Resources, and Culture. From on-the-water fun to countless parks, recreation centers, and more, the City of Trenton is constantly offering the community opportunities for active fun, community connection, and a chance to explore all our city has to offer. With the autumn season coming up, now is the perfect time to get outdoors, gather with friends and neighbors, and take advantage of our city’s resources for recreational fun.
