Mercer County Board of Elections Now Hiring
Election season is almost upon us, and everyone’s minds are on November. With campaigns abuzz and candidates vying for your vote, it’s hard not to get caught up in the excitement. Beyond just stepping into the voting booth on November 5th, there are countless ways in which you can pitch in to help make sure this Election Day is our community’s best one yet. The Mercer County Board of Elections recently announced that it is now hiring Election Board Workers for the 2024 General Election. Selected workers have the opportunity to make up to $300 for an Election Day shift. In order to apply, potential candidates must meet the following criteria:
- Be a registered voter in Mercer County OR a school student aged at least 16 years or older
- Complete an application
- Attend a training course prior to Election Day
If selected, payment is available at the following rates:
STUDENT SHIFTS:
- Full day shift (6am to 8pm): $300
- Half day shift – AM (6am to 1pm) or PM (1pm to 8pm): $150
ADULT SHIFTS:
- Full day shift (5:15am to 8:30pm): $300
- Half day shift – AM (5:15am to 1pm) or PM (1pm to 8:30pm): $150
