City of Trenton Announces Repairs on Warren and Front Street to Improve Commercial Corridor

The City of Trenton is excited to announce that on the 3rd of September, work will begin on Warren Street sidewalks and the bricks that comprise the road on Front Street. Using funds from the New Jersey Urban Enterprise Authority, with support from Isles Inc., the City of Trenton will bring much needed improvements to this commercial corridor.

“We are thrilled to invest in the revitalization of our downtown business district,” says Trenton Mayor Reed Gusciora. “These enhancements are designed to support our local businesses, ensuring their vitality and growth. By improving the infrastructure around Warren Street and Front Street, we’re creating a more inviting and functional environment for both businesses and visitors to the Capital City. Our commitment to enhancing every commercial corridor in Trenton reflects our dedication to fostering a vibrant and prosperous business environment for all.”

Trenton’s downtown is a hub for restaurants and bars that are frequented by the people who live and work in Trenton. These business and property owners are eagerly awaiting these improvements.

“Looking forward to our historic street being restored,” said Maurice Hallet co-owner of 1911 Smokehouse Barbecue, at 11 West Front.

“Repairs in the Downtown area will be a ‘win-win’ situation for everyone. By allowing ease of passage for the consumer will most definitely generate more revenue for all of the surrounding businesses,” said Joey Bayard, barkeep at the Station Bar and Bistro, 14 South Warren.

“The Warren Street sidewalk repair would greatly impact my business aesthetics!” said Quay Williams, owner of Much Better Studios.

This is one of many upcoming projects planned for the City of Trenton Urban Enterprise Zone to keep commercial districts clean, safe and full of businesses that Trentonians want. Other upcoming projects include more public works projects in commercial corridors, promotional assistance for certified UEZ businesses and other projects like retail attraction.
