NJ State Library to Host Author Talk With Jason A. Cherry

How does history choose who it remembers? While American history, and history at large, has its famous facts and figures, there are countless men and women who, despite their tremendous impacts, have for one reason or another been largely forgotten by the sands of time. But when we peel back the curtain and take a look back at some of the lesser-known lives of generations gone by, we have the opportunity to explore a richer, fuller view of our nation’s history. When it comes to taking a deeper dive, we don’t have to look beyond our community to discover hidden gems of our historic past. In fact, a fascinating world of hidden history lies within the family of our community’s namesake.

On Thursday, August 15th, you are invited to join the New Jersey State Library for an informative author talk centered on the life and legacy of Major William Trent, a third generation merchant and the son of Trenton’s namesake.
