Join the NJ State Library for Estate Planning Bootcamp
At some point in our lives, we all must begin to ponder the legacy we will leave for those we love. From the practical aspects of our estate to the memories that our loved ones will cherish, the legacy we leave behind assures that we can continue to live on in the hearts and minds of others long after our time on this earth has passed. While it can be uncomfortable to begin these conversations, there is an immense peace of mind knowing that our families will be taken care of both now and far into the future. If you’re just beginning the estate planning process and aren’t certain where to turn, you aren’t alone. However, with just a few simple steps, you can be on your way to a robust and comprehensive plan to serve you and your family.
The New Jersey State Library welcomes you to be a part of their Estate Planning Bootcamp, a one-stop shop for beginning your estate planning journey. This webinar will take place in two parts, with the first installment on August 7th and the second on August 14th. Both part one and part two will be held from 12:00 to 1:30pm on Zoom. You can register for both part one and two at the following links:
While advanced registration is required, both sessions are completely free to attend. Your host for the afternoon will be Larry Metzler, the President of Apogee Financial Services Group, Inc., and Innovative Retirement Solutions, LLC, as well as the founder of the law firm of Metzler Law, LLC.
Over the course of the two-session webinar, Mr. Metzler will cover a variety of fundamental estate planning essentials, including:
- Plan and protect your estate and your children’s inheritance
- Minimize the impact of federal and state estate and inheritance taxes
- Protect your estate from the “spend down” of your assets on long term nursing home care
- Protect your estate from extended probate and legal entanglements
- Create a “Legacy Plan” to enable you to lower death taxes and pass more of your wealth to your loved ones
Rather than letting this crucial aspect of financial planning fall by the wayside, this conversation will leave you and your family empowered to take the next steps to protect your financial futures. The choices we make today will lay the groundwork for the days ahead, and having a strong estate plan in place is one way in which you can secure a brighter future for those who mean the most.
