City of Trenton to Host Summer Concert Series
Live music is a thing of magic. Coming together as a community to enjoy the shared pleasures of song is something which has brought humanity together for centuries. And when summertime has once again rolled around in the Capital City, the sounds of music in our streets remind us that this beloved time of year has once again arrived. If you’re ready to get into the groove, look no further than Trenton’s Summer Concert Series to make musical memories all season long.
Now returning for another exciting year, the City of Trenton recently announced that the Summer Concert Series will once again be kicking off in the Capital City. These fun, free, and family-friendly events will feature regional artists representing a whole host of genres. Whether you’re a cool cat for the crooners of jazz or hoping to hear the happening sounds of hip-hop, there is something for every music lover to enjoy. Concerts will be held at a variety of parks throughout the city, so be sure to keep an eye out for the lineup coming to a neighborhood near you. This year’s Summer Concert Series features an impressive lineup of performers, including:
- The DG Rogers Project: Friday, July 12th, 6pm at Trent Center West Senior Building
- Richard Baratta Jazz Ensemble: Friday, July 19th, 6pm at Stacy Park
- Roy Richardson Jr. & Company: Friday, July 26th, 6pm at Mill Hill Park
- KY3: Friday, August 3rd, 6pm at Agabati Square
- Robert Ruffis Experience: Friday, August 9th, 6pm at George Page Park
- Showtyme & Da Traffic: Friday, August 16th, 6pm at Cycle Kings
- Joe Baione Quartet: Saturday, August 17th, 5pm at the William Trent House Museum
- Amazing Grace & GLB Band: Saturday, August 24th, 5pm at Cadwalader Park
This concert series is a wonderful way to highlight the local talents from within our community, and showcase the city’s awesome assortment of parks and recreational spaces along the way. In addition to the free concert series, guests will also have the opportunity to enjoy refreshments, ice cream, and much more. The Summer Concert Series has been a smash hit since its inception, and we are certain this year’s jam-packed lineup will be no exception. This program is presented by the City of Trenton’s Department of Recreation, Natural Resources, and Culture.
