Mill Hill House and Garden Tour Returns to Trenton

Tucked away just outside the heart of Downtown Trenton is the Mill Hill neighborhood, a beautiful, tight-knit community featuring a number of Trenton’s most historic homes. A must-see destination for any visitor of the Capital City, the Mill Hill neighborhood has carefully curated their unique housing stock in order to preserve these important artifacts for the next generation to enjoy. If you’ve ever passed through the Mill Hill neighborhood and wished for a closer glimpse of these darling domiciles, you will not want to miss out on the 33rd Annual Mill Hill House and Garden Tour.
On Saturday, June 8th, you are invited to the 2024 installment of the Mill House House and Garden Tour. This beloved event offers visitors from near and far the opportunity to enjoy a behind the scenes glimpse at the historic and handsome homes of the Mill Hill community. On the tour, guests will have the opportunity to connect with residents of the community and learn more about their unique homes, the stories behind them, and the efforts that have been taken to transform these homes into the beautiful buildings standing before you today. You’ll also have the opportunity to tour a number of gardens along the way, offering guests a glimpse at Trenton in full bloom.
The tour will kick off at 12pm at the Artworks Trenton headquarters, located at 19 Everett Alley, Trenton, NJ 08611. Tickets are $20 per person and can be purchased day-of, as well as in advance at the following link: Tickets. There is no cost for children 12 and under to participate in the tour. Throughout the tour, guests will have the opportunity to enjoy a tour of approximately 15 individual homes and gardens, each with their own touch of pizzazz and architectural flare. Whether you’re an architecture advocate, a gardening guru, or a history buff, there is something for everyone during this special taste of one of Trenton’s finest communities.
This tour and several other events throughout the calendar year are hosted by The Old Mill Hill Society. Represented in The Old Mill Hill Society are an invested group of local property owners, residents, and business owners, all of whom share a passion for the preservation of this special part of town. From Home and Garden tours to preservation grants for homeowners, this devoted collective of residents and stakeholders remains the heart and soul of the Mill Hill community. All funds raised by the Home and Garden Tour help support preservation grants that assist homeowners in maintaining the Trenton Landmarks Commission for Historic Preservation Standards.
