Festival de la Familia – Family Festival Coming to the William Trent House

Festival de la Familia – Family Festival Coming to the William Trent House

The Trent House Association will host an all-day family festival on Saturday, May 4, 2024, from 10 am to 4 pm. This free program will be held on the grounds of the William Trent House Museum at 15 Market Street, Trenton, NJ (across from the Hughes Justice Complex). There is plenty of free parking at the rear of the property at the entrance.

This multi-cultural Festival has something for everyone. All will enjoy live music, a fashion show, a children’s ballet demonstration, and a Zumba demonstration. Children can take part in sport, art, and crafts activities. Cinderella and a clown will be on hand to meet visitors. More than 40 vendors will offer items such as clothing, accessories, jewelry, perfume, lotions, candles, hair products, art, and flowers. Area restaurants will be on-site selling their delicious specialties. Community organizations will share information on services and programs for families and children. Free fruits and vegetables will be distributed while supplies last.

Festival de la Familia – Family Festival is the initial program of the Trent House’s “Esta Es Su Casa – This Is Your Home” initiative, funded by a grant from the Bunbury Fund of the Princeton Area Community Foundation.  The initiative’s goal is to increase the Museum’s engagement with and programming for Spanish-speaking residents of Trenton and surrounding communities. More information on the Festival is available on the Trent House website at www.williamtrenthouse.org/upcoming-events.

The William Trent House Museum is a National Historic Landmark in the Crossroads of the American Revolution National Heritage Area and on the Washington-Rochambeau Revolutionary Route National Historic Trail. The Museum is dedicated to sharing the authentic history of the house, property, and people with our communities, connecting the past with today and tomorrow. Owned by the City of Trenton, it is operated by the Trent House Association, which is supported by the generosity of its donors; by grants from the New Jersey Council for the Humanities, the New Jersey Cultural Trust, the New Jersey Historic Trust, the Mercer County Cultural and Heritage Commission with funding from the New Jersey Historical Commission, and the Bunbury Fund and the New Jersey Arts & Culture Renewal Fund of the Princeton Area Community Foundation; and by contributions from NJM Insurance Group and Orion General Contractors.
