Capital Philharmonic of NJ Presents: “Ensemble Le Meslange des Plaisirs”

There is nothing quite like live music to stir the human spirit. As the melodies fill the air, our hearts and minds are transported somewhere new. When the community comes together through song, we are connected on a level that transcends the divisions of our day-to-day lives. And thankfully, as residents of Trenton, we do not have to travel far to enjoy some of the region’s finest musical experiences.

On Sunday, November 5th, you and your family are invited to join the Capital Philharmonic of New Jersey to present their latest Chamber Concert, “Ensemble Le Meslange des Plaisirs.” This enchanting afternoon of music will begin at 3  p.m. at the historic St. Michael’s Episcopal Church in the heart of Trenton at 140 N Warren Street, Trenton, NJ 08608.

This afternoon of music and merriment will feature selections from 1750 through 1820. A blast from the past, the CPNJ will offer audiences a stirring rendition of the sounds of the 18th and 19th centuries. Featured musicians for this performance included the harp, fortepiano, and strings. If you are interested in attending, tickets can be purchased online here: Tickets – CPNJ. Admission costs $25 per attendee, with student tickets available at $10 per guest with a valid student ID. There is a maximum of 75 tickets per order. Please also be aware that the pricing above does not include any applicable convenience or processing fees. If you have any questions or need assistance with ticketing, please call 800-514-3849.

This performance is a part of the Capital Philharmonic’s 2023-2024 Chamber Concert series. In addition to a riveting Main Stage schedule, these chamber performances empower the CPNJ’s musicians to perform a more comprehensive selection of genres and pieces. The pieces performed during the Chamber Concert series have been hand-selected by the CPNJ’s musicians, allowing these artists to show their full talent. Although the Main Stage performances are certainly a testament to their abilities in their own right, the chamber series enables the CPNJ’s musicians to show off their chops in an all-new light.

The Capital Philharmonic of New Jersey is Trenton’s premier professional orchestra, bringing top-of-the-line performances to the community of Trenton and beyond.
