Henry J. Austin Health Center Highlighted in Red Nose Day Campaign
The much-awaited Red Nose Day campaign is finally here! People nationwide and community health centers like Henry J. Austin Health Center (HJAHC) are gearing up to support a great cause to end poverty.
Red Nose Day is a beloved annual global fundraising campaign to raise awareness and funds to support programs that keep children and young people safe, healthy, and educated. This year’s campaign aims to provide millions of children living in poverty across the globe with food, shelter, and education. If you’d like to learn more about the Red Nose Day initiative and contribute to this incredible cause, visit their website here: Red Nose Day – Home.
On May 25, people from all over the globe will come together to raise funds and show their support for Red Nose Day through various activities, including charity walks, runs, bake sales, and other fundraising events. This year, the Red Nose Day campaign featured Dr. Kemi Alli, the Chief Executive Officer of the Henry J. Austin Health Center.
In discussing the vital work HJAHC carries out on a daily basis, Dr. Alli noted “Red Nose Day and the Children’s Health Fund allow us to provide so much more than we would otherwise. Without them, we couldn’t do some of what we do in the way we do it. Every drop in a pond can eventually make a lake. Nothing is too small. It makes a huge impact when you gather all those donations together to change the trajectory of a child’s life. If I help a child be healthy and thrive and grow, not only am I helping that child but generations to come. Every major road starts with one small step after another. Every, therefore, everything is worthwhile.”
HJAHC is committed to delivering healthcare to the Trenton community and offers additional services that support the social determinants of health, including food assistance. Thanks to the support of campaigns like Red Nose Day, the HJAHC is empowered to provide a holistic, whole-person approach to the health and wellness needs of members of our community.
