Trinity Episcopal Cathedral Announces Women’s History Month Performance

Although March is coming to a close, there’s still plenty of time to celebrate Women’s History Month in the Capital City!

On Sunday, March 26th, Trinity Episcopal Cathedral will host their Women’s History Month performance, titled “Let It Begin With Me: A Musical Celebration of Women.” This multi-media performance will kick off at 2 pm at the Trinity Episcopal Cathedral campus at 801 West State Street, Trenton, NJ 08608. This event is free to attend, although at-will donations are welcomed. Mezzo-Soprano Elyse Langley is the featured performer for this inspirational celebration.

This multi-media presentation will highlight the lives of inspirational women past and present. Some fascinating figures featured include Harriet Tubman, author and watchmaker Corrie ten Boom, Sojourner Truth, Actress Jane Froman, and more. Their stories, set to the tune of inspiring music of all genres, will set the tone for an inspirational afternoon.

Featured performer Elyse Langley

Elyse Langley is an honors graduate of Rider University, where she received her Bachelor of Arts in Musical Theater. Elyse has performed at Bristol Riverside Theatre in various roles and seasonal concerts for the past ten years and in many other theaters across the United States. In addition to this impressive resumé of performances, Langley also serves as a music educator at the Mannington Music School.

This event is hosted by Trinity Episcopal Church, a worldwide Anglican Communion member, a vibrant faith-infused community. Trinity Cathedral has a threefold function – to serve its members as a parish church, to serve the Diocese of New Jersey as its CCathedral, and to serve the City of Trenton as a center of help and hope to everyone, but especially those who live on the margins. In addition, we are a resource to the broader community, promoting a range of outreach ministries to the city of Trenton and beyond. For more info, visit https://www.trinitycathedralnj.org/.

Proceeds from the performance will benefit the outreach activities of the Cathedral, including its food pantry, the Urban Promise Afterschool Program, and the Trenton Area Soup Kitchen (TASK) satellite unit housed at Trinity.
