Capital Philharmonic of New Jersey to Host “Classics in Color”

A celebration of culture performed by some of New Jersey’s finest musicians? It sounds like music to our ears!

On Sunday, February 12th, at 3:00 pm, the Capital Philharmonic of New Jersey (CPNJ) will host “Classics in Color,” the next installment in CPNJ’s Chamber Concerts series. This concert will be hosted at St. Bartholomew’s Lutheran Church, 1746 South Clinton Ave., Trenton, NJ 08610. Tickets are available online here: Tickets – Classics in Color. General admission for the concert is $25/per person. If you are a student, tickets are discounted at $10/per person. Please note that these prices do not include any applicable fees. The upcoming “Classics in Color” performance will feature music from composers of African-American and Hispanic descent. Guests can enjoy live music from the flute, oboe, and piano during the concert. Capital Philharmonic musicians, Melissa Bohl, oboe, and Katherine McClure, flute, will be joined by pianist Esma Pasic-Filipovic as they serenade you through the evening’s selections. With Black History Month now underway, this concert is the perfect opportunity to uplift and enjoy the work of BIPOC composers. This upcoming performance is part of CPNJ’s exciting schedule of Chamber Concerts for the 2022-2023 season.

In addition to its Main Stage schedule, the Capital Philharmonic of New Jersey will host various Chamber Concerts throughout this year’s performance season. The Chamber Concerts allow members of the CPNJ to play with greater frequency and provide audiences in Trenton and beyond the chance to hear a broader range of classical music. These colorful selections have been hand-selected by CPNJ musicians, who have prepared 60-75 minute concerts for you to enjoy. The minds behind these masterful musical performances are the Capital Philharmonic of New Jersey. Since 2013, the CPNJ has been putting on world-class performances for Trentonians and beyond. Feeling that the City of Trenton desperately needed cultural investment, the founders of the CPNJ quickly got to work forming our city’s premier classical orchestra. The Board of Trustees was carefully chosen to assure that community leaders with a passion for enriching and advancing the cultural heritage of Trenton.
