Isles to Host Make Your Own Terrarium Workshop

For our gardeners and green-thumbed friends, we’ve got just the event for you!

On January 18th, 2023, Isles will host a make-your-own terrarium workshop from 5:30-7:30 pm. The workshop will be held at the Orchid House, 134 East Hanover St., in Trenton, NJ. At the seminar, guests will get to create a fabulous home for their new plant or make a masterpiece as a gift for a loved one. Light refreshments will also be provided. All are welcome to come out and get creative.

This event is part of the Trenton Climate Corps’ exciting calendar of winter events. Some of the other events on the schedule include:

  • Wednesday, February 1st, 5:30-7 pm: Global Warming in Trenton (English)
  • Saturday, February 11th, 3-5 pm: Paint and Sip (non-alcoholic – families welcome!)
  • Wednesday, March 1st, 5:30-7 pm: Global Warming in Trenton (Spanish)
  • Saturday, March 17th, 10 am-12 pm: Seed Starting and Soil Science
  • Wednesday, March 29th, 5:30-7:30 pm: Everyday Herbalism

The locations for these events are to be determined, so please keep an eye out on Isles’ social media – you can find their Facebook page linked here: Isles – FB. Also, around the time of the event, please be sure to RSVP at least one week in advance to ensure that Isles can prepare accordingly.

The Trenton Climate Corps is an incredible initiative bringing issues of sustainability and environmentalism to the forefront of the conversation. Aside from these fantastic community events, the corps also allows members of our community to access hands-on training in sustainability and other green jobs. In addition, the company highlights how Trenton is impacted by climate change and what can be done to improve outcomes in our community.

The Climate Corps trains community members in various exciting fields, including community forestry, stormwater management, community agriculture, and energy efficiency and weatherization. Members of the Corps are also given access to multiple services, including job readiness and placement opportunities, leadership and life skills development, and case management and wraparound support.
