Trenton City Museum to Host Children’s Wreath-Making Workshop

Trenton City Museum to Host Children’s Wreath-Making Workshop

If you’re getting ready to deck the halls, now’s the opportunity to let your family’s youngest artists get in on the fun!

The Trenton City Museum at Ellarslie will be hosting a children’s wreath-making workshop on Sunday, December 11th from 10am-noon. All children who attend must be accompanied by an adult. Although advanced registration is required, the event is entirely free of charge. Guests can put their creativity to the test and create a wreath with materials provided by TCM. Aside from wreath-making, attendees can also enjoy some tasty refreshments as they get into the holiday spirit. Registration for the children’s event can be found here: Registration – Wreaths.

This exciting workshop is part of the Trenton City Museum’s Wreaths exhibit. The wreaths featured in the exhibit have been made by hand by our fellow Trentonians. Participants, whether artists or amateurs, were invited to utilize the materials and theme of their choosing to bring their holiday vision to life. Whether their wreath was a traditional holiday dreamscape, an abstract winter wonderland, or somewhere in between, creatives of all kinds had the opportunity to get involved. The exhibit will open on Saturday, December 3rd, and will be on view through Sunday, January 8th.

On the opening day of the exhibit, awards will be presented to artists whose wreaths particularly stood out amongst the competition. Some of the titles up for grabs include People’s Choice, Best in Show, and more. If a wreath catches your eye and you find yourself wishing you could put it on your front door, do not worry! The wreaths featured in the exhibit are up for sale, so you can bring the holiday fun back to your home. Whether you’re a featured artist, in the hunt for a new wreath, or just want to enjoy the sights of the season, all are welcome to join in on the community and creativity.
