Holiday Open Mic Night Comes to Mill Hill Playhouse

Holiday Open Mic Night Comes to Mill Hill Playhouse

Attention Trentonians, we hope you’re ready to put on a show!

Come put those hidden talents on display at the Mill House Playhouse for their upcoming holiday open mic night. The evening’s festivities will kick off on December 2nd from 6-9 pm. A variety of talents are welcome, so whether you’re a musician, singer, comedian, or something unique, there’s room for everyone on this stage! Aside from some fantastic local talent, guests will also get to enjoy some hot apple cider and cookies. The event is part of First Fridays, a monthly tradition here in Trenton that brings together local artists, vendors, and community groups for a safe, fun night out on the town.

Guests of the open mic night will also have a chance to enjoy the Mill Hill Playhouse’s new lobby exhibition. Curators from Passage Theatre are currently accepting winter and holiday-themed art submissions for their upcoming production of A Christmas Carol. With a vision of the holidays sparkling in the background, there’s no doubt this evening will get you in the holiday spirit. It isn’t too late if you’re an artist and want to submit some of your work! Please contact the curators Jonathan Conner and Habiyb Shu’Aib at kara@passagetheatre.org before November 28th to get involved.

This event would not be possible without the guidance of Passage Theatre Company, whose mission is to create and produce professional plays and arts programming for the surrounding community. Founded in 1985 by a group of theater artists, the group has been bringing high-quality productions to Trenton ever since. As a collective, Passage frames their productions through the lens of social relevance, providing surrounding communities with a message that resonates with their own lived experiences. As both advocates and artists, Passage Theatre Company plays a distinct role in the artistic community of Trenton.

If you’re ready to hit the stage, we hope to see you put those talents on display at this wonderful event. Guests wanting to keep the holiday magic going can also purchase tickets for Passage’s upcoming production of “A Christmas Carol” during the evening’s festivities. If you have any questions leading up to the open mic night, please contact kara@passagetheatre.org for assistance. See you under the spotlight!
