Henry J. Austin Health Fair Happening This Week

The Henry J. Austin Health Center (HJAHC) is celebrating National Health Center Week from now through August 20th. At the end of the week, a Health Fair will be hosted by HJAHC.

“We also have Henry J. Austin tours for community members if they want to tour our center,” said Elona Deprez, Chief Development and Communications Officer at HJAHC. “We will be inviting our partnering organizations in the community to join us to spread health fair news with the community.”

“So basically, what we want to do is let the community know what the health center is all about and what services we provide. We’ll also be offering screenings through our Mobile Health Unit,” Deprez said.

Henry J Austin will provide free blood pressure screenings, physical screenings, and COVID-19 vaccines.

“It’s important to understand what our Health Center offers and all the services we provide to the community. A lot of community members are unaware of our services,” Deprez said.

There will be other organizations tabling that will provide information about different services. In addition, there will be activities for kids like face painting, games, and a DJ Special K.

“We care about the whole well-being of our community members, including physicals, behavioral health, dental, chiropractic, and podiatry. And many other services…we want our community to be aware of the services,” Deprez said.

Henry J. Austin Health Center is the largest non-hospital-based ambulatory care provider in Trenton, NJ. The center works to improve health care in Trenton’s culturally diverse community.

The fair will be hosted from 3-6 on August 18 at 321 North Warren Street. To learn more about HJAHC, head over to their website https://henryjaustin.org/
