TESU and LCCC Sign Agreement to Advance Aviation Graduates
To help students with dreams of flying continue to achieve their aspirations, Thomas Edison State University (TESU) and Lehigh Carbon Community College (LCCC) (Pa.) have signed a transfer agreement that will allow LCCC aviation graduates to transfer seamlessly into corresponding TESU’s bachelor’s programs.
Specifically, students who have earned their LCCC Associate in Applied Science (AAS) in Aviation Science will have a pathway to transfer into TESU’s Bachelor of Science degree in Aviation Management. In addition, LCCC graduates in the Associate in Applied Science in Professional Pilot can transfer into TESU’s Bachelor of Science degree in Aviation Flight Technology.
Through this agreement, TESU will accept up to 90 credits from LCCC, including general education course work in addition to aviation and pilot training courses. Students can also earn additional credits for their Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) licenses received during the AAS programs. Students have an option to complete the aviation bachelor’s degrees online as well.
“We hope that students take full advantage of this educational opportunity,” says LCCC president Dr. Ann D. Bieber. “We understand the importance of providing a seamless pathway for students interested in continuing to earn their bachelor’s degree and are honored to partner with Thomas Edison State University to make this program available to our graduates.”
“Lehigh Carbon Community College provides exceptional educational opportunities to students, and we are excited to partner with them,” said Dr. Merodie A. Hancock, president, Thomas Edison State University. “This pathway agreement will allow LCCC’s well-prepared graduates to move seamlessly to a degree completion pathway in the high-demand field of aviation flight technology.”
