The Easter Bunny Comes to Trenton!

The Easter Bunny Comes to Trenton!

Continuing the City’s Easter Tradition, the Easter Bunny will ride through Trenton on a fire truck beginning at 11:30 a.m. Saturday, April 3, 2021. The procession will pass through each of the City’s wards before ending at approximately 1:00 p.m.

City residents are invited to greet the Bunny as he drives by. The Bunny will arrive at Cadwalader Park by 1:00 p.m., for some socially distanced fun. All children at the Park will receive a treat from the “Bunny Patrol” free of charge. Those attending the greeting are required to wear a mask and maintain social distance at all times during the event.

The Bunny’s ride takes the place of the annual “Great Egg Hunt” sponsored by the Kiwanis Club of Trenton and held in Cadwalader Park since 1921. It is intended to be a safe alternative during the ongoing pandemic and is held “weather permitting.”

The Bunny’s travel route through the city will begin at Fire Headquarters on Perry Street at 11:30 a.m. and proceed to Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd., Clinton Ave., Hamilton Ave., Broad St., Pennington Ave., Stuyvesant Ave. and Hillvista Blvd., among others, before reaching Cadwalader Park at 1:00 p.m. The Bunny’s complete route can be seen HERE for the first leg and HERE for the second leg.

In addition to the Trenton Fire Department and the Kiwanis Club of Trenton, sponsors for this event include Science Mentors One-to-One, New Jersey Firefighters Mutual Benevolent Association Locals 6 and 206 and Wegman’s Market Princeton.
