Selected by the City of Trenton as the sole strategic partner on the New Jersey Economic Development Authority’s Opportunity Zone Challenge, Greater Trenton advocated to have The Trenton transit area as one of designated federal Opportunity Zones, which offers substantial opportunities to combine and leverage existing sites and assets with Opportunity Fund investments. Greater Trenton fosters participation in Opportunity Zones, which encourage long-term investments in Trenton’s distressed communities by providing an incentive for investors to re-invest their unrealized capital gains into dedicated Opportunity Funds.
