Trenton Health Team is proud to partner with Trenton Public Schools and Capital Health on the #MaskUpTrenton video contest offering prizes for homemade videos promoting COVID-19 safety such as washing hands, wearing masks and social distancing.

The contest, open to all TPS students and families, ends September 25. Videos should be between 30 seconds and 60 seconds long and tagged with #MaskupTrenton. Find details and submit videos here.

“We want students to turn on their creativity and help spread the message about COVID-19 safety,” said Micah Freeman, TPS Supervisor of Nurses. “Thanks to Capital Health, we can offer some great gift card prizes!”

Prizes include gift cards valued from $100 (First Prize) to $25 (honorable mention) in four categories: Elementary (PreK-Grade 5); Middle School (Grades 6-8); High School (Grades 9-12); and Family/Household (Student grade doesn’t matter; video safely engages family members). Winning videos also will be featured in a press release and on social media.

Videos will be judged by the professional basketball player and youth mentor La’Keisha Sutton (aka Fan Favorite), TCHS seniors and TikTok celebrities the SplashTwinz Treona and Trechelle, Greater Trenton Vice President for Marketing & Communications Bryan Evans, and North Ward District 5 Committeewoman and TCHS Finance Teacher Crystal Feliciano.

A social media account is not required to submit a video, but participants may use social media platforms to create videos.

“We can’t wait to see what Trenton students create,” said THT Executive Director Gregory Paulson. “We know students listen to their friends and we appreciate their help sharing these important health messages.”
